Dodgeville – Robert G. “Jake” Jacobson, age 94, of Dodgeville, died on Monday, December 1, 2025 at his home.
Bob was born on November 9, 1931 in Dodgeville, a son of the late Stanley and Myrtle (Severson) Jacobson. He graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1949. He then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
In 1964, Bob was set up on a blind date with Mary Stenulson, arranged by the late Guerdon and Helen Reilly and they were married on July 10, 1964.
Bob partnered with his brother-in-law and started a paint and wallpaper business and established Premier Paint Retail Store and Rim of the World Gift Shop. He later proudly drove for ADRC for 18 years, retiring this past fall. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing trips and hockey games with his buddies.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary; his children Donald “Rob” Jacobson, Randall (Juanita) Jacobson, Renee (Randy) Littel; eight grandchildren Kylie Littel (Jacob) Carreon, Keaton Littel, Jaelyn Jacobson, Jorja Jacobson, Nicole Jacobson, Natalie Jacobson, Noah Jacobson, Nathan Jacobson; his siblings Jerry (Dianne) Jacobson, Larry Jacobson, Joyce Widder; special cousins Ronnie & Verna Matz, Rodney & Jan Matz, Marilyn & Burnell Oates, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donald Jacobson, his sister Nancy (Dave) Ladd, his brothers-in-law Paul Kieslich and Jim Widder.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH in Dodgeville. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the church. Military Rites will take place following the service in the church parking lot.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Upland Hills Hospice.
