Eagles get shutout win behind Thousand and 14 hits

Barneveld’s softball team had three big innings and mashed out 14 hits to take down Potosi/Cassville in Six Rivers softball Thursday.

At the same time Tatum Thousand was working a four hit shutout in the circle. She struck out five and walked one.

The Golden Eagles scored four in the first. five in the second and four in the fourth to take the win in five innings.

Thousand was also a force at the plate with a three run home run in the fourth that set the score at 12-0.  

Shortstop Hannah Esch also had a three rbi game. She doubled in two in the first and doubled in one in the second. She was one of seven Eagles with multi-hit games as she went 2x3.

Also going 2x3 were Eliza Gordon, Kaylie Oimoen, Maddie Grabandt and Aleea Norton with Addison Walker going 2x2 with a double.

Thousand and Lauren Reese both had one hit.
