Weigel, Marilyn Ruth

Marilyn Ruth Weigel, age 83 of Hales Corners, WI, formerly of Linden, WI, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024. She was born to J. Elmer and Tracy (Draves) Weigel on April 8, 1941.

Marilyn attended Linden Grade School, graduating from Cobb High School in 1959. She went on to attended UW Platteville where she graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1963. She taught elementary children at Menomonee Falls for two years before transferring to the Muskego Norway School District, where she taught until she retired.

Marilyn loved gardening—especially tending to her roses. She also enjoyed bus trips with her sister and friends. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years and the Linden United Methodist Church. She was also a member of several teacher organizations including BT—Better Teachers of Waukesha County and WEA—Wisconsin Teachers Association.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, J. Elmer and Tracy Weigel.

Marilyn is survived by her sister, Leila Sugden; and many cousins, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville. Friends may arrive at the funeral home beginning at 11:30 am to find seating for the service. Burial will follow at the Linden Cemetery with Pastor Lorri McGranahan presiding.
