Witt Denied the Motion to Suppress Body Cam Footage of Mineral Point Police Officer

Jacob Witt’s attorney Timothy Luke Angel’s request to suppress body camera evidence against his client was denied by Judge Matthew Allen in Iowa County Court on September 4th.  

Witt was in court where he is charged with felonies for Child Abuse-High Probability/Great Harm, Aggravated Battery, Strangulation, and Suffocation, and two misdemeanor charges for Criminal Damage to Property and Resisting or Obstruction of an Officer for an incident that happened in Mineral Point on November 11th, 2023.  

Iowa County District Attorney Zachary Leigh called Mineral Point Police Officer Sean Kibler to the stand who testified that when he arrived at the scene of the incident he saw Witt outside on a balcony in only a pair of shorts screaming obscenities, stomping his feet, and overall agitated....
