The remains of Corporal Robert P. Raess, 21 of Dodgeville, were laid to rest at St. Joseph's Cemetery on Saturday, September 7. Events for his return after 74 years of being killed in action during the Korean War began when his remains were identified. From there he was flown to Milwaukee and transported to Dodgeville's Gorgen-McGinley-Ayers Funeral Home on Thursday. Different groups of veterans, including Dodgeville VFW, were present and lined the entrance to the cemetery. Members of the Dodgeville Boy Scouts were also present paying their respects.
