Brockmann, Grace M.

Grace M. Brockmann, age 85, of Arena, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 21, 2024, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. Born on March 22, 1939, in Ladysmith, WI, she was the daughter of Francis John and Anna Mae (Hook) Fillion.

Grace was first married to Stephen F. Foye in 1957, and later to Donald George Carl Brockmann in 1979.

A dedicated homemaker, Grace also nurtured many foster children. She drove a school bus for several years and cherished her role as a doll doctor for the American Girl doll company.  Later in life she loved rock picking and tumbling.  She was a proud member of the Arena VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Grace is survived by her four children: Debora (Terry) Meise, Kim (Kelly) White, Stephen R. Foye, and Susan (Chadd) Gullickson; five grandchildren: Jamie (Bobby Jo) White, Tonya (Orvell) Franklin, TJ (Jen) Meise, Jessica Spielman, Stephen Foye III; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Wallis L Roberts and Joyce King.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, Stephen and Donald, four sisters, Patricia L Keister, Caryl L. Kellor, Ruthann Swenson and C. Christine Harris, two brothers, Benjamin F. Fillion and J. Robin Fillion, brothers-in-laws, David Roberts and John Harris, a grandson, Brett Dylan Hutchison and her beloved Hansi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday October 26, 2024 starting at 10:00 a.m., with a service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Arena VFW.  Online condolences can be made at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com.
