Dodgers close out regular season with win over Arrows

It took five sets before the Dodgeville volleyball team pulled out a win in their final SWC match of the 2024 seasons.

Host Lancaster did not make it easy for the Dodgers. The final set went extra before the Dodgers won it 16-14.  

The match started out in Dodgeville’s favor with a 25-17 win. The Flying Arrows returned the compliment, winning the second set 25-23. The Dodgers took set three 25-16 before Lancaster evened it 25-23 with a set four win. That set up the finale where the Dodgers were able to stay the course for the win.

They finished the SWC season with a 7-3 record, one game behind co-champions Platteville and Richland Center.

They also ended with a six-game conference winnig streak.

The Dodgers have a first round bye in the D3 Regionals. They host the winner of River Valley and Westby tonight.
