Our kids and teachers need you to vote yes
Dear Editor,
If you worry that rural people in Wisconsin and in America are being overlooked and getting left behind, you have an opportunity right now to help turn that around. You can show up to the polls on November 5 and vote YES for the school funding ballot question.
Your YES vote will allow the Dodgeville Schools to continue to provide excellent education for children growing up here in Dodgeville. If we want our community to thrive, to remain a place with a high quality of life, to enable families to stay here in Dodgeville and to attract more business development and new residents, we must have quality schools.
Your YES vote says, YES, Dodgeville's children matter! Your YES vote shows that you believe Dodgeville's children are every bit as capable and deserving of opportunity as children in any other community.
If you feel like families in rural areas don't get a fair shake, don't make it worse by letting our schools be starved of the resources they need. Make a plan to vote on or before November 5 -- and vote YES on the school funding question so the kids in our community right now can get a good education. It's their ticket to greater opportunity and good-paying jobs when they grow up.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Williamson
