Dear Editor,
Gregory Erickson is constantly writing opinions to this newspaper claiming that the Democratic Party is the party of censorship.
I ran across two articles recently that might shed some light on which party is way ahead when it comes to censoring thoughts they do not agree with.
I saw recently in a public Facebook post a county sheriff in Ohio, who is running for re-election, use anti-immigrant rhetoric and denounced both Harris and her supporters. "When people ask me...What's gonna happen if the flip-flopping, laughing Hyena(Harris) wins? I say...write down all the addresses of the people who had her signs in the yards! I think this statement from a public official who has sworn to defend the Constitution is a form of intimidation, much less censorship.
At a campaign rally in Pennsylvania last week Donald Trump whined about his favorite news network, Fox News. "You ever notice on Fox, they put me on -I do a great job- and then they follow me with a horrible commercial", Trump said. This past weekend Trump slammed Fox News in front of a crowd of supporters in Wisconsin, ripping the news outlet for airing Harris's remarks after her visit to a part of the southern border in Arizona. Trump said, "Fox shouldn't be allowed to show the Democratic candidate's remarks!". These remarks are nothing new for Trump. He has been complaining about Fox giving ANY news time to Democrats forever. You think he is trying to censor opinions he does not agree with?
There have been over 3000 books banned this past year from public libraries across our country. Anybody want to guess which political party is at the center of almost all of this form of censorship? Mr. Erickson likes to sign his opinions with the phrase
"Constitution Defender". I will sign my letter....
