Vivian, Bonnie Jean

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Jean Vivian (Burgess) on October 3, 2024, at the age of 71, after a long and fulfilling life. Bonnie was born on February 3, 1953 and was shortly thereafter adopted by Albert and Mary Lois (Godfrey) Burgess of Mineral Point, WI.

Bonnie met the love of her life and beloved husband, Robert Paul Vivian, and were married on March 9, 1974. They were married for 34 years filled with love, happiness and devotion for and to each other. They had two children, Craig and Tricia, who were her entire world. Her children gave her strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all of the time. Bonnie was an exemplary mother embodying the best qualities of generosity, strong will, kindness, but most of all her unwavering love and support for family.

Bonnie is best known for working as a grocery clerk for several years at the local IGA grocery store. People who knew her always spoke about her willingness to carry on a conversation and her stories about her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Before working at the grocery store she was a bus driver for the Hodan Community Services. Bonnie was a shining example of how to think of and treat others, a value that was central to her character.

Preceded in joining her in Heaven is her mother and father, Albert and Lois Burgess and her loving husband Robert Vivian.

Bonnie loved her family and would make it a point to tell them that she loved them as often as possible. She is survived by her son Craig (Courtney) Vivian of Kingsport, TN; her daughter Tricia (Craig) Komprood of Darlington, WI; her grandchildren Tyler Komprood, Reghan (Jake) Trickel, Ava (Josh) McCain and CJ and Camden Vivian; her great grandchildren Rilynn and Easton Trickle and Paisley Komprood; her brothers Francis (Donna) Burgess and Kenneth Burgess; and several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was also blessed to connect with her biological sister Linda and biological brothers Robert and Joey. Bonnie's departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared.

Her departure is gravely felt by her entire family and friends. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to share memories and stories of Bonnie on the memorial website.

A Celebration of her Life is under the direction of Gorgen Funeral Services of Mineral Point on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in Mineral Point.
