Tredinnick, Cathryn I.



Cathryn I. Tredinnick, age 92 of Dodgeville, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at CrestRidge Assisted Living. She was born on November 25, 1931, at home in the township of Linden to Milo and Ruth Jewell. She married Donald Tredinnick on September 2, 1950, on her parent's farm near Mineral Point. She was a 1949 graduate of Cobb High School. She was a stay-at-home mom. She was a volunteer for Boy and Girl Scouts for over 20 years. She was also a volunteer of The American Red Cross blood mobile for over 40 years. She was involved with the Dodgeville Women's Club for over 50 years. She also volunteered at the Dodgeville United Methodist Church in many different capacities. Having seven children, she enjoyed taking part in their activities. She loved entertaining—especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She also did a lot of embroidering and made several comforters. She also enjoyed baking and sharing with family and friends.

Cathryn is survived by six sons: Kim (Toni) Tredinnick of Savage, MN, Ken (Cyndi) Tredinnick of Omaha, NE, Ed (Julie) Tredinnick of Onalaska, WI, Steve (Elizabeth) Tredinnick of Dillon, CO, Brian Tredinnick of Dodgeville, WI, and John Tredinnick of Holmen, WI; one daughter, Susan (Tim) Moore of Bryan, TX; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, William (RuthAnn) Jewell of German Valley, IL; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Tredinnick; her parents; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Homer and Marion Jewell, Douglas and Doris Tredinnick, and Melva and Eugene Lindauer.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville. An additional visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Dodgeville United Methodist Church. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Cathryn will be laid to rest next to her husband in a private committal service at Eastside Cemetery. The Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville, is assisting the family.
