Dodgeville Common Council hears election protocol went well; update on Armory

Because of the election on Tues., Nov. 5, 2024, the Dodgeville Common Council meeting was moved to the next evening and City Clerk Lauree Aulik reported at the meeting that the City of Dodgeville had the most voter turnout in its history with 88% going to the polls. 2,825 people voted, 1,400 of those with absentee ballots.  

Aulik said the election went smoothly and thanked her staff and volunteers for the best tabulation ever.  Mayor Barry Hottmann also congratulated the entire staff and those involved saying it was a nice coordinated effort.  Aulit also mentioned that the next election is on Tues., April 1, 2025 and reminded alderman up for re-election they can begin circulating nomination papers starting Dec. 1, 2024...
