Dettman, Patti

Patti Dettman, age 63, of Dodgeville, WI passed away peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, May 19, 2024 at St Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI.

She was born on October 18, 1961 in Dodgeville, the daughter of Herbert and Betty Dettman. Patti graduated from Dodgeville High School class of 1980 and soon after, married her high school sweetheart Robert Goldthorpe on June 11, 1983. They moved to Madison for a brief time before settling in Mount Horeb and starting a family. In time, the two relocated back to Dodgeville and separated, but remained friends until her passing.

Patti enjoyed horseback riding, being outdoors, and watching thunderstorms from her front porch. She was an avid music lover and was never known to turn down a dance. Those who know her will remember her for her giving soul and her adventurous spirit.

Patti is survived by her daughters, Kelli Goldthorpe and Courtney (Corey Phelan) Goldthorpe as well as her three grandchildren, Cambrian, Keegan, and Kiya; brother Tom Dettman; sisters Doris Schmeichel and Mary Hirsch; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Herbert and Betty Dettman; sisters Marlene Dettman and Julie Diemer; brother Terry Dettman; sister-in-law Jeannie Dettman; and brother-in-law Jerry Diemer.

Her daughters would like to express their gratitude for all the care, concern, and support from Patti's friends and family.

A Celebration of Life for Patricia will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at RED ROOM, 108 E. Merrimac Street, Dodgeville starting at 1:00 p.m.
