Norris, Rebecca

After a prolonged illness, Rebecca Norris (1955-2024) left us on Saturday, April 6th to be with the Lord. Rebecca was a graphic designer and editor for Johns Hopkins University Press, Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Catonsville, Maryland High School and received a degree in Fine Arts from Bob Jones University, Greenville, South Carolina.

Rebecca was a Mineral Point booster and enjoyed dozens of visits for Cornish Fest, events at the Opera House and Orchard Lawn.

She helped design the Max Fernekes exhibit "Location- Location: Mineral Point, 1940 and Now" at Pendarvis Historic Site, May-November 2015 and the exhibit of pottery and prints, "The Whimsical World of Ava Fernekes", at Orchard Lawn, May-November 2018.  She also edited the article, Max and Ava Fernekes: A Duet in Paint and Clay, the feature article in "Wisconsin Magazine of History", Summer, 2018.

She leaves behind many friends in Mineral Point, her chosen "Home away from Home." Rebecca is survived by her brother Tim Norris from Dallas, Texas and her fiancé Cliff Krainik, Warrenton, Virginia.
