Subject matter and language within this article may be upsetting or uncomfortable to some. This article is about making people aware that human trafficking happens everywhere and can happen to anyone. There is an estimated 27.6 million victims of human trafficking in the world. Every state in the United States has some form of human trafficking be it sex trafficking or labor trafficking. In Wisconsin, all 72 counties and 11 of the 12 tribes have found to have human trafficking. The Green County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force is helping keep the county and the surrounding areas informed on many different forms of human trafficking.

The Green County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force was established in December 2020. Their main focus for 2023 was raising awareness on the subject. The task force wanted to not just focus on children but adults and all genders that are being trafficked. They are aware of both sex trafficking and labor trafficking within the county but are still learning more about labor trafficking.

In Albany on February 7, a panel met with members of the community and Albany EMS members at the Albany Lions Club building, teaching agencies on how to be aware of human trafficking and what to spot when they go on emergency calls.
