Campbell, Rosemary Ann




Rosemary Ann Campbell passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Ingleside Nursing Home in Mount Horeb. She was at Ingleside for less than three weeks after a fall in her home on the farm where she resided for over 76 years. 

Rosemary was born to Karl Henry and Nellie May (Blowers) Reimann on June 25, 1927, in Arena, Wis. She graduated from Arena High School and attended UW-Madison for several years before she married Milford Garfield "Barney" Campbell on Oct. 4, 1947. They celebrated 63 years together before he passed on March 2, 2011.

Rosemary worked side by side with Barney on the farm, but she had several off the farm jobs at the Barneveld Coop, house cleaning in Madison, and Stauffers Cheese in Blue Mounds. Her longest tenured job off the farm was in the dietary dept at Ingleside Nursing Home in Mount Horeb, where she worked part-time until she was 82 years old.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Bill) Unger of Oregon, Wis., Nancy (Del) Schneeberger of Cambridge, Wis., and Brenda (Don) Blahnik of Red Wing, Minn.; two grandchildren, Kyle (Ellie) Blahnik of Red Wing, Minn., and Bryant (Jensen) Blahnik of Spokane, Wash.; two great-grandchildren, Wrenlie Blahnik and Brock Blahnik; sister-in-law, Joyce Reimann; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Brittany Blahnik; sister and brother-in-law, Marie (Art) Anderson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roland (Leona), William (Irene) and Robert Reimann; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Eleanor (Campbell) and Walter Hiltbrand, Esther Mae (Campbell) and William Hiltbrand.

A funeral service will be held at BARNEVELD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 505 Swiss Lane, Barneveld, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Burial will take place at White Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

The family would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare for two years of care in her home after the lymphoma diagnosis and also at the nursing home, the Iowa County ADRC staff, the Barneveld EMTs when she fell on May 15, 2024, Upland Hills Hospital for their care and support after her fall, and of course, Ingleside Nursing Home for their loving care and emotional support for the family.
