Butteris, EuGene "Fuji"

EuGene "Fuji" Butteris, 60, died May 29, 2024 in Fort Atkinson, WI. He was born in Dodgeville on July 27, 1963 to Carolyn (Kite) and Harold Butteris. 

He attended area schools until the family relocated to the Watertown area in 1977. Gene was an avid sportsman and enjoyed anywhere outdoors. 

He never met a stranger, and had many friends along the way. He could fix anything, and his small engine business showed it.

He was proceeded in death by his Father Harold; his Aunt Judy Weier; Sister-in-law, Jenny Heinz Butteris; his paternal grandparents Melva Tremelling and Stansmore Butteris, Maternal grandparents Florence and Buford Kite, as well as many Aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his Mother Carolyn Kite,  Pewaukee;  siblings William (Gail Corrigan) Butteris, Iowa, Jamey (Jenny Heinz) Butteris, Florida; sisters Robin (Al) Welch,Waukesha, and Cindy (Brian) Reichert Pewaukee. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m. with a service following at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Church, Edmund. Pastor Schneider will officiate with lunch in church basement following.
