Mainwaring, Alma L.

Alma L. Mainwaring, age 85, of Dodgeville, died on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Mineral Point Health Services following a long illness. Alma Leona was welcomed into this world by her parents, Irene and William Hildreth on April 14, 1939. Alma, along with her sisters and brothers, spent many hours riding horses, roller skating, and she especially loved going to the fair and attending dances. As a young wife, after marriage to John Ray and later to Theodore Mainwaring, she filled her biggest role as mother to her seven daughters. While busy with her family, Alma provided 33 years of service in dietary work during her time at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dodgeville which later became Upland Hills Health. She also enjoyed her hours working at Subway before her retirement. Her biggest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alma was welcomed into heaven by her daughters: Beverly (Todd) Lindauer and Connie Cloutier; her parents; her siblings: Josephine, Evelyn (John) Halverson, Ronald, Joseph, and Harold; infant grandson John Sobus; and her forever love Theodore Mainwaring.

Alma is survived by her daughters: Christine (Clarence) Ziegler, Trudy (Alan) Fearday, Mary Kruzinski, Barbara (Fred) Jones, Elizabeth (Jerame) Wilkinson; son-in-law Thomas Cloutier; grandchildren: Stephanie (Gene) Forseth, Alicia (Kyle) Buelow, Robert (Sacia) Hill, Tyler Ziegler, Rochelle (Steve) Glonek, Ryan (Lisa) Hill, Brandon (Natalie) Lindauer, John Balele, Melissa (Larry) Eckles, Cassandra (Jeff) Sobus, Dannielle Sobus, Lacee Cloutier, Shayla Cloutier, Spencer Cloutier, Trent Connell, Teagon Wilkinson, and Braydon Wilkinson; siblings Anna Nicoson and William Hildreth, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
