Carl E. Cenite, age 69 of Mineral Point passed away unexpectedly on July 25th. Carl was born on August 4, 1954 the son of Bruno Sr. and Delores (Dietzman) Cenite. Carl attended Mineral Point Schools. He went on to work for Cenite's Meat Market and a brief employment for Iowa County before becoming a prominent business owner of Five Point Cheese & Liquor. He owned and operated Five Point for 44 years until retiring in August of 2022.
Carl married Carol Knutson on March 31, 1973 and they were blessed with two children Chad and Cami Jo. Carl enjoyed taking country rides looking for wildlife and hunting. He looked forward to his daily card games at Five Point with his close friends. He deeply appreciated his customers and friendships he built over the years of business in Five Point. Carl enjoyed all the family fur babies.
Carl is survived by Chad (Tami) Cenite and Cami Jo Cenite (Peter Reger) of Mineral Point. His pride and joy, his grandchildren Dawson and Kyleigh Jo Cenite of Mineral Point. He is further survived by his siblings; Carolyn (Greg) Prohaska, Joe Cenite and Rose Cenite; and Carol, mother of their 2 children and many nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Connie Cenite and a nephew Craig Finley.
As per Carl's wishes there will be a private gathering for immediate family.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the Mineral Point Rescue Squad, Mineral Point Police, Iowa County Sheriff's office and Gorgen Funeral Home for their care and compassion.
