To our farmers.... thank you

While it takes place mainly in Dodgeville the fact is that this weekend’s celebration is “Iowa County Farmers Appreciation Day.”  It is a day set aside to honor the farmers who are our neighbors, our people who get involved to make Iowa County a better place and who are our friends.

The event has taken on a life of its own, spilling into two days of what is sure to be fun.  It will be two days of meeting your neighbors and honoring those who make sure we have enough to eat.

We could list the many events but instead will ask you to look at the ads that are inviting you to participate.  Then do what they ask....participate.

It will be a fun two days.  It will be a day of remembering Dave Ladd and Bob “Ranger” McNeill who were instrumental in getting the event started and turned into the successful event it is today.

Enjoy the many different happenings and watch the fireworks light up the sky.

Enjoy but most of all remember to thank and honor a farmer.
