VanDerslice, Genevieve Evangeline

Genevieve Evangeline VanDerslice passed away at a young age of 95 in Murfreesboro TN on January 6th 2024 peacefully in her sleep.

She was born March 9,1928 in Avoca Wi to William and Eva Palan. On April 17,1948 she married the love of her life Tom VanDerslice Sr. who was in the Navy, so they traveled and lived in many places over the years, then after retiring settled in Murfreesboro TN. They had five daughters, one son, eleven grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother John Palan (Highland Wi), her six children, Judy (Jim) Figlioli (Nashua NH), Jackie Funk, Celia Norris, Eva Clark, Virginia Medlock all of Murfreesboro TN, and Tom (Deb) VanDerslice (Appleton WI), all 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tom VanDerslice Sr., parents William and Eva Palan (Highland Wi), siblings Virginia Tabor, Eugene Palan, Ruth Carter, Polly Palan and four son-in-laws, Gary Funk, Billy Norris, Jim Woods, Donald Clark and one great granddaughter Aryana Ivy Schmitt.

A private service and burial of Genevieve and Tom will be held at a later date.
