Cardinals pick up big win over Lancaster
Highland had a night to remember when it came to shooting the basketball as they cruised past SWC member Lancaster 83-76 in non-conference action Tuesday.
The Cardinals held a slim margin at halftime, leading 37-36 and then outscored the visitors 46-40 the second 18 minutes.
Wes Kraisinger led the Cardinals with 27 points and was engaged in a shootout with Flying Arrow Zach Hermsen who put up 30 points. Kraisinger had some help as Michael Esser added 17, Jack Tarrell 15 and John Dreischmeier 11.
The Cardinals were also solid at the free throw line, making 14 of 19. They added seven three pointers to their scoring mix.
Michael Murphy added 17 for Lancaster and Taylor Williams 14.
Highland heads to Cassville Friday.
