Dickinson, Mary Theresa

Mary Theresa Dickinson, age 70, of Barneveld, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 with family by her side at Agrace Hospice after suffering a stroke.

Mary was born in Dodgeville, WI on May 3, 1953, the daughter of Norbert and Elaine (Kammerud) Weier. She graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1971.

Mary married Dennis Dickinson on August 26, 1972 and celebrated 47 years together. Together, they raised three children: Jason, Jeremy, and Jessica.

Family was most important to Mary, she enjoyed spending countless hours with her grandchildren, being the one-of-a-kind grandma that she was. You could always find a sweet treat when you visited, and she could fix a meal in no time for unexpected guests. And how can we forget the Christmas baking. Her family would swear she was feeding a village with all those cookies she made. Beside her grandchildren, her pup & grandpups were important to her as well. Those dogs could do nothing wrong in her eyes.

Mary is survived by her children, Jason (Krista), Jeremy (Melanie), and Jessica (Judd) Koerwitz; grandchildren Owen and Levi, Kadia and Vandy, Jakob, Jenna, and Jozie. Siblings Denny (Joyce) Weier, Mark (Deb) Weier, John (Barb) Weier, Laurie (Bruce) McCluskey, and Joanie (Mike) Hendrickson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, her parents Norbert and Elaine, and siblings Barb Blum, Dave Weier and brother-in-law Ed Blum.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at ST. BRIDGET’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Ridgeway. Burial will be held in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.

The Family would like to thank the Barneveld EMS, SSM Health and Agrace for caring for Mom in her last week.
