Fredericks hits 21 to lead Cards to win

It was a night to remember for Highland senior point guard  Harlee Fredericks at Hillsboro when the Cardinals took on the Tigers in a non-conference game recently.

Fredericks not only poured in 13 first half points to key a 24-23 Cardinals halftime lead she also netted 11 after intermission to lead the way to a 50-36 win.

“Harlee played a great game,” Highland coach Josh Tarrell said.  “She was a real leader tonight, both in scoring and in running our offense.”

Sophia Tarrell came off the bench to added 12 points, six each half.

“Sophia came in and gave us a spark,” Tarrell added. “She  has been a key player coming off the bench all season.”

Kaitlin Miller was unavailable for the game so Izzy Washa got the start and contributed two points to the Cardinals total.
