Dodgers start fast and race past P/C for lopsided win
The Dodgeville girls basketball team did not let Potosi/Cassville get into any type of rhythm and raced to an 87-39 win in a non-conference game Saturday.
Before the first half ended McKenna Reilly had 18 of her game high 21 points in the book and Maggie White totaled 14 of her 20. Lily Wiegel was also a force with a pair of three pointers and nine of her 18 points.
Marley Busch also reached double figures for the Dodgers with 13.
P/C could only manage 15 first half points. They were led by Ruby Roe who put in 10 points.
“We told the team the message for the game was to build off the great intensity we showed versus Platteville and we did just that, as we did a tremendous job of pushing the ball down the court,” Dodgeville coach Hayden Hardyman said. “It was nice to see the players work through the offense and find cutting players through the lane. All 10 members of the varsity roster scored, the second instance of this happening."
