Hansen, Debra L.



Debra L. Hansen, age 65, of Dodgeville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

Debra (Debbie) was born on September 19, 1958 in Madison, the oldest daughter of David E Pomrenke and Mary Brockman Pomrenke. She was raised and educated in McFarland, WI, graduating from McFarland High School in 1976. She married Robert V. Hansen on February 25, 1978. They were happily married for 45 years, 11 months, and 24 days, during that time they successfully raised 3 children.

Debbie spent many years being a homemaker; however, she spent time traveling with Bob driving semi and traveling. She also spent many years employed with Walmart. After leaving Walmart, she worked for touchpoint 360 traveling as a merchandiser all over the country until retirement, at which point she became a full time chicken parent Debbie loved nature, fishing, crafting, traveling, baking, her chickens, but most of all her family. Debbie was always willing to help where and when it was needed. She had a true heart of gold and was an amazing wife, mother, nana, great grandma, sister and daughter.

Debbie is survived by her husband Robert V. Hansen of Dodgeville; her daughters Paula (Reggie) Reeson of Spring Green, Brandie Reynolds of Madison; her son Robert D. Hansen of Dodgeville; her sisters Mary (Stephen) Cooper of Ada, MI and Judith Hezik of Scottsville KY; 13 grandchildren DaJuan Jr “Deuce”, Rosemary, Dayjah, Jacob, Russell, DaQuan, Jayden, DaVuan, Kirra, Jillian, Tanayah, Torrance, Jr., Tayjah; 6 great grandchildren; 3 step-brothers and sisters; numerous brothers and sisters-in-laws ; 7 adored nieces and nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father David E. Pomrenke, her mother Mary Bender, her step-father Phillip Bender, her mother-in-law Rosalie Zweifel, her father-law Robert K. Hansen, her step father-in-law Thomas Zweifel, her brother David W. Pomrenke, her half-sister Beth Tickanen, her sister-in-law Ruth Schneidewind, her brothers-in-law Bernard Hezik, Richard D. Hansen.

A Public Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

A luncheon will follow at the RED ROOM in Dodgeville.
