Meudt, William F. “Bill”



William F. “Bill” Meudt, age 82, of Ridgeway died on Sunday, December 22, 2024 peacefully at University Hospital in Madison.

He was born on April 10, 1942 in Ridgeway, a son of Francis and Catherine (Sullivan) Meudt. He graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1960.

Bill volunteered for the Ridgeway Fire Dept. for 35 years, where he served as Chief for 14 years. He also volunteered for the Barneveld EMS for 12 years and worked as a carpenter for 20 years and Injection Molding for 25 years. He enjoyed his dogs, hunting, Ridgeway Home Talent Baseball, watching birds from his chair, football and especially the Packers. He was a member of the Packer Backer for 30 years.

Bill is survived by his son Anthony “Tony” Meudt of Ridgeway; his daughter Angela (Mark) Thomas of Darlington; his grandchildren Brianna Meudt, Caitlyn Davis, Emily Shearer, Ashlynn Schultz, Gabriella Meudt, Maddox Meudt, Ashley Komplin, Nichole Meudt; his great grandchildren Ryker Smith, Brynleigh Smith and Ivyonna Meudt; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his very good friend Lucy Pulmer, his parents, his grandparents, his brothers Leo and Larry Meudt, his son Billy Meudt, his granddaughter Cassie Meudt and his grandson Jesse Halverson.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at ST. BRIDGET’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Ridgeway. Inurnment will be held in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Saturday at the church.  Please feel free to wear your Packer colors.
