Locals in “Nutcracker” this weekend at Platteville


MINERAL POINT-Theatre of Ballet Arts (TOBA) is presenting its eighth production of The Nutcracker Ballet with talent from 14 communities. Once again families in southwest Wisconsin, northwest Illinois and northeast Iowa can affordably enjoy the holiday classic of The Nutcracker 14-15 at the Platteville Municipal Auditorium. 

A cast of 55 representing thirteen communities in southwest Wisconsin – Cobb, Darlington, Dodgeville, Boscobel, Highland, Linden, Livingston, Mineral Point, Montfort, Platteville, Potosi, Rewey, and Shullsburg -- and one in northeast Iowa — Dubuque — are experiencing this year’s live, professional ballet production of The Nutcracker under the direction of Summer Hamille, artistic director of TOBA. Dancers and non-dancers alike have been closely working together to provide a magical and enjoyable ballet theatre experience for attendees. A sponsorship group of 27 local businesses and individuals are supporting this season’s production...
