Iowa-Grant board tells PSC they oppose Badger Hollow wind turbine project
The Iowa Grant school board discussed a resolution concerning opposition to the Badger Hollow wind turbine project.
Board member Mary Schauff wanted to make sure the information is correct that is being provided for the resolution.
“If I put my name on it I want it to be correct,” she said.
There is a possibility that the district could become an intervenor and possibly be called to testify. At this time the resolution is information only and not a request to be an intervenor.
The resolution addresses set back distances for what is thought to be safe for the school.
The board reworked some of the resolution and passed it. The resolution will now go to the Public Service Commission.
The resolution opposes wind turbines within three miles of the school buildings...
