Ruth Adele Tresner, age 99, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Born on October 6, 1925, in Dubuque, Iowa, Ruth lived most of her childhood near Platteville, Wisconsin. After one year of college, she taught at a one room school near Darlington, Wisconsin. On April 28, 1946, she married Roy Tresner, with whom she shared nearly 62 years of marriage until his passing. She later married Everett (Bud) Buss who also preceded her in death.
Ruth is survived by her 7 children: Dianne, Gary, Daryl, Brian, Kim, Keith, and Brett. She raised her family in Mifflin, Wisconsin. Once her youngest child started school, she went back to college at UW Platteville. She earned her teaching degree in 1969 at the age of 44 and then did substitute teaching. After their children were out of high school, she and Roy traveled around the country and later settled in Belmont, Wisconsin.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed playing board games and being involved in church activities. She is much loved by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her wonderful disposition and caring attitude made her cherished by many. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice.
