Stocks, Klark J.

Klark J. Stocks, age 63 of Highland, passed away suddenly on November 15, 2024, at home in his wife's embrace.

Klark was born on May 14, 1961, in Richland Center to William and Donna Stocks. He grew up in Avoca and attended Riverdale High School. Klark showed an interest and passion in automobiles from a very young age and spent a lot of time being mentored by Doug Bahr at Bahr's Autobody Shop in Avoca. Throughout his adult life, he continued to enjoy working for various autobody shops in the area. Klark also worked for Crack Filling Service out of Cross Plains for many years; and most recently, he worked at Cardinal Glass until his retirement.

Klark met Sue in 1981, and they married in 1989. Together they raised four children. The family had lively vacations to Yellowstone National Park; Destin, Florida; and Missouri. Every trip was an adventure in every sense of the word. As the kids became adults, Klark and Sue loved spending time together in Door County, Green Bay, or just driving up and down the Mississippi.

Klark's greatest joy was his grandchildren—his "babies". He loved playing with them and spending time with them in general.

Klark was an incredibly intelligent man, with a keen sense of humor and the largest, caring heart for everyone he met. He had a knack for nicknaming his favorite people and those he held closest to him. He enjoyed antiquing, cars, his Harley motorcycles, and UTVing. Klark was loved by so many people and will be missed by all. His memory will live on through everyone he's met. Klark will continue to positively impact peoples' lives through his loving gift of organ and tissue donation.

Klark was preceded in death by his father, William; his sister, Kelly Fox; his brother, Ken Stocks; his mother- and father-in-law, Jack and Mary Lou Riley; brother-in-law, Jim Hebgen; and many aunts, uncles, and other family members.

Klark is survived by his wife, Sue; his children: Jackie (Brewer) Stouffer, Jennifer Williams, Jarrod Stocks, and Haleigh (Charles) Smith; grandchildren: Will, Beckett, and Harper Stouffer; Harrison, Olive, Finn, and Jack Williams; Hudson Mullikin-Stocks; Charlie, Elijah, and Norah Smith; his mother, Donna; his sister, Kay (Rich) Ubrig; his sisters- and brothers-in law: Steven Fox, Terry Stocks, Sandi Hebgen, John (Leslie) Riley, Pat (Kelly) Riley, Dan (Lisa) Riley, Mike (Sandy) Riley, and Matt (Danielle) Riley; many nieces, and nephews; his dog, Demi; and many other relatives and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 8th, beginning at noon at Red Zone, 360 Main St, Highland. The McGuire-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be made at www.houckfuneralhomes.com.

The family would like to thank Highland EMS and Upland Hills Health for all their efforts and compassionate care of Klark's family.
