Flynn, Michael James

Michael James Flynn, age 82, of Highland, WI passed away peacefully at Upland Hills Hospital with his family by his side on Sunday, August 18, 2024.  He was born in Dodgeville, WI on December 14, 1941 the son of James Thomas and Betty L. (Ewing) Flynn.  Michael wore many hats. Jack of all trades, chef, cheesemaker, gravel truck driver and lastly drove semi for Richgels Milk Service for many years.  He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, playing cards, watching any kind of stock car racing, fishing and camping on the Wisconsin River.  Survivors include his children, Rose (Don) Williams of Desoto, Bonnie (John) Oxnem of Dodgeville, Pat (Jody) Flynn of Highland, Mike Flynn and Kristin Anderson of Highland, Michelle (Eric) Friedrich of Spring Green, Jim (Susan) Flynn of Four Oaks, NC, Joe (Tammy) Flynn of Winterville, NC, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren with one on the way, a great great grandson, siblings, David (Annamae) Flynn, Terry (Sue) Flynn, Kevin (Deb) Flynn, Judy (Randy) Hunington, Kate (Tom) Ludlum, Kelly (Vicki) Flynn, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his dog, Bubba.  Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son, Tom Flynn, his grandson, Wayne Williams, his mother and father-in-law and a special friend of 10 years, Donna.  A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Highland Fire Department.  A private family burial will be held in the Avoca Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for a charity of their choosing.
