Highland board handles snow day make-up minutes


Thanks to a recent joke played on Wisconsin by Mother Nature the students at Highland schools will spend an extra two minutes behind their desks every day the rest of the school year.

That is because the district was out of snow days when the heavy snow storm happened in early April.   The announcement of how the district would handle the missed time was made at the April school board meeting last Wednesday.

Much of the meeting was made up of fairly routine business.  After reports the board voted to approve the first readings of NEOLA revisions along with first readings of policies on District support student activity accounts, technology and food service.

The board heard a presentation on the library media plan that begins 2024 and runs until 2029.  Plans are to make classes and courses more aware of what the library can do to enhance education...
