Hall, Clinton R.



Clinton R. Hall, age 76, of Dodgeville was called home on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at UW Hospital in Madison surrounded by family. He was born on August 4, 1947, to Marvin Lee and Bessie Mae Hall. Clinton graduated from Bloomfield High School (Bloomfield, MO) in May of 1966. He attended Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN where he met Mary Jo Meredith. The two graduated in June 1970 and then married on May 29, 1971. Clinton was drafted into the Army and served as a surgical technician at Ft. Lewis in Tacoma, Washington.

Clinton went on to obtain a local ministers license in the United Pentecostal Church International. He served in many areas of ministry over the years such as Youth Pastor, Pastor, Deacon and Elder. He impacted the lives of many people through teaching, preaching and living as a Christian example. Most recently, he was a faithful member and served on the board of directors at New Life Church in Dodgeville. Clinton worked the last eighteen years of his secular job as an inside sales / warranty specialist at Generac Power Systems. He enjoyed spending time with family, yard work and watching Packers football.

Clinton is survived by his son Steve (Deb) Hall and their daughter Rebecca of New Berlin, WI; his daughter Shawna (Simon) Chappell and their children, Emily, Kate and Peter of Dodgeville, WI; his brother, Ronnie (Lori) Welty of Bloomfield, MO; his brother-in-law Don (Cherie) Meredith of Union Grove; his mother-in-law Phyllis Meredith of Union Grove, WI; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and in-laws he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo Hall, and a sister Glenda Shepard.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment with Military Graveside Rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the SOUTHERN WISCONSIN VETERANS MEMORIAL CEMETERY, 21731 Spring St., Union Grove, WI.

The family would like to thank Christian Servants Home Care for their care and support. They would also like to thank the cardiac teams from St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee and UW-Madison Hospital and Clinics for their excellent healthcare during his twelve year journey with congestive heart failure.
