Many Pointers see court time in win over Riverdale
Mineral Point’s volleyball team had little problem with SWAL opponent Riverdale Tuesday and swept the Chiefs in three sets.
Score were 25-15, 25-13, 25-18 with one of the bright spots having the entire team see the court.
“It was a great team win,” said coach Kari Kabat. “Everyone got some time on the court tonight, so it was good to see what others could do.”
“Izzy Dannenberg came in and did a nice job in the middle, and Rori Bossert has been playing well for us in the backrow,” Kabat said about some of the changes. “She played well on Saturday for us as well and is really pushing for that defensive specialist position.”
“Malea Aschliman really put a solid performance together tonight and Eliza Ingwell continues to run our offense well,” Kabat commented. “Overall, a solid night and love when we get the opportunity to see some other kids in there. We need everyone to stay engaged in the season and I want to reward everyone as much as possible.'
