Nancy L. Putman, of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023, at the age of 76. Born on May 24, 1947, in Warrens, WI, to the late Alex and Beulah Crawford.
Nancy's passion for art was exhibited throughout her life, as she expressed herself through coloring and her talent as a great artist. Whether she was working on a sketch or creating culinary masterpieces in the kitchen, Nancy's creativity knew no bounds. She took immense pride in her culinary degree, she graduated from Southwest Technical College with the class of 1988.
An avid lover of nature, Nancy would often take walks outside, enjoying the beauty of the world around her. She would spend countless hours indulging in her favorite pastime, feeding the squirrels and birds that visited her yard, finding joy in their presence. Nancy loved nothing more than spending time with her family and creating everlasting memories. She always enjoyed challenging her mind by doing puzzles along with playing cards with friends and family. Known for her friendly and outgoing personality, Nancy was a social butterfly. Her genuine interest in people led her to make new friends everywhere she went. She could strike up conversations with strangers effortlessly.
Nancy’s memory will be forever cherished by her daughters; Susan (Robert) Schmidt and Tammy West, her sons; Jason (Pamela) Putman and Ricky Putman; her thirteen grandchildren, Toni (Matthew), Austin (Kiah), Ethan (Haley), Jenna (Cody), Shane, Ryan, Alison, Sara, Chloe, Devin, Brandon, Nathanial, and Miranda; along with her four great grandchildren; Mattie, Bentley, Luna, and Lily. She is also survived by her siblings Christine and Walter. Along with many other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Mariah Aubrey Louis Putman along with her siblings Darlene, Edith, Maxine, Evelyn, Dorothy, John, and Gene.
We will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday October 28, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Linden Community Building, 460 Main Street, Linden, WI.
