Amenda, Janet S.
Janet S. Amenda, age 70, of Mineral Point passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Edenbrook of Platteville. She was born on October 5, 1953 the daughter of Maynard and Nona (Roberts) Aide. After graduating from high school, she worked at Sokol Crystals in Mineral Point, PEC in Mount Horeb and Merkel Korff Industries in Darlington. She married William Amenda on November 8, 1975 in Mineral Point. She enjoyed bingo, playing the lottery and spending time with her grandchildren. Janet was an avid Green Bay Packer and Mineral Point Pointer fan.
She is survived by her daughter Tina (Tim Berndt) Walrack, 3 grandchildren; Deven (Leah) Walrack, Sasha Walrack and Jaron Walrack; 3 great-grandchildren Cherokee, Temperance and Scout; a son-in-law Jason Walrack; Siblings Shirlee, Susan, Gary, Jeff, Ken, Mike and Bob; a special sister-in-law Annabelle and a special friend Audrey. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, silblings: Gene, Dean, Ronnie, Patty, Mary, Larry and Jerry.
A Celebration of Life for Janet will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Gorgen Funeral Home in Mineral Point. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at a later date.
