Dale J. Shemak, 57, of Muscoda, WI, died Thursday, October 5, 2023, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Dale and his twin brother Dean were born in Richland Center, WI, on June 22, 1966, to Don and Judie (Glanville) Shemak. Following graduation from Riverdale High School in 1984, Dale attended and graduated from Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, WI. But strong ties to home brought him right back to Muscoda. Dale was a union member Special Projects Carpenter Foreman at J.H. Findorff & Son in Madison, a longtime member of the Muscoda Fire Department, and active with Smiles for a Child through the Hombres motorcycle club. He loved hunting, riding his motorcycle, watching tractor pulls, gun collecting, target shooting, and spending time with his family and friends. His door was always open to anyone needing help with anything. Dale may have been happiest in his role as the best 'Papa' ever. Together with Brooke and Brenna, they were the tightest family trio. Pretty sure you could drive his truck through the hole that is left in our hearts.

Dale is survived by his daughter Brooke, granddaughter Brenna, parents Don and Judie, all of Muscoda; twin brother Dean (Kimberly) of Rockledge, FL, nephews Skylor, Brian (McKaylah), Andrew; sister Nancy (Tom) Bomkamp of Highland, WI, nephews Justin (Aneet), Grant (Cara), and great-nephew Zayhn; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a mountain of friends led by 'Neighbor' Ken Trumm and 'Moose' Corey Clark.

Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe and Lucile Shemak, and Mel and Carol Glanville.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home, Muscoda, with burial to follow in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home, Muscoda, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Muscoda Fire Department or Brenna's education.
