Shopping “woes”

Dear Editor,

It seems like I have a million things to do today but just had to write about 2 shopping “woes” recently encountered.

Placing an order on a website that advertised “Free next day delivery with no order minimum or membership.” Yet when the final page came up, there was a $12.75 carrier fee. So much for free shipping. . . . If it hadn’t been that it’s quite early in the morning, would have called their customer service.

And while gift cards seem to be the “ideal” gift, much of the money is literally wasted because, in the case of most if not all, the value of the card goes down with time if not used.
