Lengthy probation for Muscoda man


Arthur E. Linsenbigler, 42, Muscoda, received a lengthy probation and a caution this will be his last chance; as a violation will result in prison in Iowa County Court Tuesday.

Linsenbigler appeared before Judge Matt Allen on a lengthy list of charges. Under a plea deal he entered no contest pleas to criminal trespass to a dwelling, disorderly conduct with a domestic abuse modifier, intimidating a witness/domestic abuse, false imprisonment/domestic abuse and battery.  He was found guilty of the charges along with failure to register as a sex offender.

Further charges of domestic abuse, battery and bail jumping were dismissed but read in.

Linsenbigler will serve 36 months on probation and had a nine month jail sentence and 24 months probation imposed and stayed.  

As a condition of his probation he must maintain absolute sobriety, no use of controlled substances unless prescribed, no contact with the victim or victim’s residence unless authorized by the Department of Corrections, AODA and follow through along with any counselling the DOC recommends.  He must also pay a fine of $518 for failure to register as a sex offender and $200 on the false imprisonment and battery counts.
