A few days before, Dalen Rickard was an ace for the Dodgeville High School baseball team.
Thursday he continued showcasing his skill in a Night League game at Mazomanie where he threw a three hitter for the Dodgeville Knights. His performance paved the way for a 7-2 win.
Rickard struck out eight and walked six.The Mustangs managed solo runs in the first and seventh. Other than that Rickard was in total control.
He did need some help getting the last out which came courtesy of former Fennimore pitcher Dawson Cole.
The Knights put three on the board the first inning as Austin Montague singled in Grant Roh who walked and Grant Hying knocked in Sean Reilly who had walked and Rickard who had singled with a single.
A three run third made the scored 6-1. Reilly singled and scored on a bases loaded walk to Ty Palzkill. Jamo Allen singled in two more.
Tarron Bockhop led off the fourth with a walk, advanced when Roh was hit by a pitch and scored on a hit by Rickard.
Hying was 4x4, Rickard and Austin Montague 2x4 with Reilly, Palzkill, Cole and Allen all getting one hit.
Cole faced two batters in relief. He got the first out on a fly to center and the final out on a grounder back to him on the mound.
