Two men found dead under suspicious circumstances
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office and Dodgeville Police Department are working two death investigations following separate incidents Saturday in the Dodgeville area and are awaiting toxicology results.
On Saturday, July 8 at approximately 6:41 a.m. the Iowa County Communications Center received a call about a man that was believed to be deceased at a residence on Jaime Street in the City of Dodgeville.
Law enforcement and Dodgeville EMS responded to the scene, and it was determined that the 29-year-old man was deceased.
The Iowa County Coroner’s Office confirmed the determination and pronounced the man dead on the scene.
Later on Saturday, at approximately 3:51 p.m. a call was made from the AmericInn hotel on STH 23 in the Town of Dodgeville about a 33-year-old man that was believed to be deceased.
Law enforcement and Dodgeville EMS responded, and it was determined the man was deceased, and he was pronounced dead by the Iowa County Coroner’s Office.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office said there is no danger to the public surrounding the two deaths.
In addition, the agency made the following statement: “The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office has responded to multiple calls lately in reference to suspicious activity that we believe is adverse reactions to substance abuse.
