McLaughlin, Doris Jean
Doris Jean (Dot) McLaughlin, 84, died on December 11, 2023 in Vacaville, CA. She was born at home on September 3, 1939 in Dodgeville, WI to Archie and Lois (Leiber) Henry. Doris graduated from Barneveld High School, Class of '57.
She lived for many years in the San Francisco Bay area until retiring to Vacaville. Doris was an amazing grandmother, mother, sister, and aunt. She was delighted to have a part in the ceremonies of both of her granddaughters weddings last spring. She looked forward to yearly trips to Wisconsin to visit at the Henry family farm and to catch up with old friends.
Survivors include her daughters Deborah McLaughlin, Burlingame, CA and Sharon (Mike) Marshall, Vacaville, CA and her grandchildren Stephanie (Elvis) Castaneda, Melanie (Troy) Cannon, and Justin Marshall all of Vacaville. She is further survived by her brother Bernard (Greta) Henry, Adams, TN; her sisters Janice (William) Olson, Avoca, WI; and Linda (David) Renz, Ridgeway, WI, plus nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Shirley Nixon (2008), her brothers Allen Henry (1978) and Jim Henry (2018), and her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Robert T. (Ted) Nixon, Donna Reeson, and Joan Balk.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Vacaville.
