History repeats itself

Dear Editor,

Approximately 2423 years ago Hamen, a Persian leader, set over all the princes of Persia and Mectia persuaded King Ahasuerus to set forth a decree to destroy all the Jews.

When Hamen saw that Mordecai was a Jew he became hateful. I might interject true spiritual Jews bow and pay allegiance to the one true God, the creater of man and the universe.

Letters were sent by courier into all the King’s provinces to destroy, to kill and annhilate all the Jews, both young and old, little children and women in one day, the 13th day at the 12th month which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their possessions.

King Ahasuerus reigned over 127 provinces from India to Ethiopia. Persian law states whatever is written in the King’s name and sealed with the King’s signet ring, no one can revoke.

Queen Esther went before the King to stop the decree, but since he could not stop it be granted Esther, Mordecai and the Jews had the right to defend themselves and defend they did. They killed 800 men, but did not lay a hand on the plunder and did not kill women and children; see the justice in God’s providence.

Now in 2023, it looks like Hamas is getting a taste of their own medicine.

Netanyahu is instructing the military the only thing he can do to protect Israel in the long run.

Unlike the Jewish enemies, the military is npt targeting women and children and civilians.
