Appreciation for Passage of Senate Bill 332 and Assembly 304

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to the Wisconsin Senate and Assembly for their instrumental role in passing Senate Bill 332 and Assembly 304, crucial legislative measures that have positively impacted the alcohol statutes in our state. As the General Manager of the Potosi Brewing Company, I wish to extend our appreciation to Senator Howard Marklein and Representative Travis Tranel, who have diligently represented the interests of the Potosi community.

These bills have been particularly significant for our brewery, addressing key aspects related to contract brewing, a vital component of our operations. The recent expansion of our facilities and the upgrade of our equipment underscore our commitment to the growth and development of Potosi in the years to come, with a special emphasis on contract production.

The legislative updates also bring clarity to alcohol beverage regulations in Wisconsin, introducing a new division dedicated to overseeing the intricacies of beer, wine, and spirits categories. Notably, these changes include enhancements to the rules governing tastings and sampling in taprooms, further facilitating the operations of breweries such as ours.

The Potosi Brewing Company has been a proud contributor to the local economy, generating numerous well-paying jobs in the Potosi area. We believe that these bills will play a crucial role in sustaining and expanding our employment base, contributing to the economic vitality of our community. With the National Brewery Museum housed within our facility, we have witnessed firsthand the positive impact on Wisconsin's tourism industry, further solidifying the state's reputation as a destination for beer enthusiasts.
