There’s negatives with the wind turbines

Dear Editor,

A huge THANK YOU to everyone that took the time to attend the Town of Dodgeville meeting last week. Over 60 people (some from surrounding townships) attended with many speaking up about the industrial wind turbine projects planned in our area.

There are already people being negatively affected by the IWTs in Grant County. These health effects include loss of sleep and vertigo due to infrasound. Private wind development companies will tell you there is no such thing as infrasound but it is real and it happens with every single wind turbine.

All industrial wind turbines create an air pressure pulse each time a turbine blade passes the support tower. When residents realize they are sensitive to these infrasonic air pressure pulses in their homes, the only option is to vacate their home.

You don't have a choice if you are affected by infrasound, it just happens and affects particpating and non-particpating landowners the same. We need to be aware of what is happening to our neighbors and work to increase the set backs of these IWTs.

Please attend not only your local township meeting but also other township meetings in the area to voice your concerns.
