It was the night of the Hunter for the Barneveld baseball team Tuesday.
Hunter Schmid and Hunter Larson combined to shut out LaFarge in a non-conference game. The Golden Eagles came away with the win, 10-0.
Schmid went 4 2/3 with nine strikeouts and a walk. He gave up both LaFarge hits.
Larson went the final 1/3, ended it with a strikeout.
The Eagles had 11 hits in the win with Blake Hazen smashing a triple and driving in two runs. He and Tarek Marx both were 2x3 to lead Barneveld.
Larson, Aden Knight, Kasey Helgeson, Quinn Dimpfl, Schmid, Brock Malin and Ty Thousand all had one hit.
Hazen and Malin led in rbis with two each. Knight, Helgeson, Dimpfl, Schmid, Marx and Thousand all drove in solo runs.
The Eagles scored once in the second and fourth, three times in the third and added six in the bottom of the fifth.
