We had three baseball games at both Centennial Park and the High School Field at the Middle School on Saturday, so Saturday morning breakfast took Bob, Terry, Dewey, myself and Tom to the north end of Dodgeville at Jimmy's at 7:00 a.m. Dewey and I had to be at the high school field around 9:00 to set up for the 10:00. game. Everybody except Dewey had the omelette. I was sitting next to him and I can't tell you what he had - real observant aren't I?!

The Beauford and Milly Blabaum family (a good group of them anyway) were there, so we got to say a few words to many of them! Also several people we see every time we're there were there again, including Jerry Whitford, a staple at Jimmy's many a morning!

The ball games went really well. It did pour down rain for a few minutes at the high school field during the second game. We had to pull the stand into the shed and only lost the paper towels. It got really windy several times. It only sprinkled at Centennial Park though!

I have to thank Dewey, Michelle Latterell and Donna Pittz for helping me at the high school field and Jessica Rickard, Lauri Reilly, Lisa Bockopp, Robin Murphy, Sarah Fockler and Julie Olson for handling Centennial Park - they all did great!

Dodgeville's Garage Sale Day is this Saturday, April 22, but a lot of sales began on Thursday and some run into Sunday. There are a lot of treasures out there that people are getting rid of!

I'm skipping any "special day"celebrated today (Thursday) because Saturday in "National Baseball Day" and baseball has always been close to my heart. I played when I was young and watch a ton of it over the years! I guess that's why I have run the concession stand for Dodgeville games since "Shep was a Pup"!
