Pointers dominate Bulldogs

The Mineral Point varsity volleyball team made it four consecutive wins in the Southwest Wisconsin Activities League Thursday night with a home win over Boscobel.
The Pointers swept the Bulldogs in three sets.
Mineral Point won the first set in a 25-17 decision.
Boscobel battled back in the second set, but the Pointers were able to shut the rally down to edge them in a final score of 25-22.
The third set was completely controlled by Mineral Point, as they went on to take it by a final score of 25-5.
Mineral Point head coach Kari Kabat was pleased with the outcome Thursday, but she felt the Pointers could have been even more dominant.
"It took us a while to get warmed up tonight. We played solid every set, but we could have been a little more dominant in the first two sets," said Kabat.
"We controlled the tempo much more in set three, and kept them out of system for most of the game. Overall, it was a decent performance from our kids," she added.
With the victory, the Pointers improved to 4-0 in conference play.
