Errors no Highland's friend in 3-1 loss to Belmont

In a night filled with errors it was the Belmont volleyball team that benefited the most.
For the host Highland team it was a night where they played hard but nothing seemed to go right for them. They helped their guests with 51 errors. The Cardinals committed 42 hitting errors and missed nine serves.
"We were flat and it was the same way last Saturday at Iowa-Grant," Highland coach Maria Wineski said. "Our girls play hard but lately they have been lacking in excitement."
Wineski feels it is her challenge to get the Cardinals past that.
"The girls work very hard in practice and in games," Wineski continued. "I love coaching them. I feel if we work on our communication our excitement will improve."
What the Cardinals and their coach know for sure is the errors cannot continue if they want the scores to be in their favor.
"We can't have them," the coach said. "We can't come back when we have 50 or so errors."
Scores against the Braves were 21-25, 25-18, 23-25, 19-25.
